Therapeutic Massage Techniques
I have taken advanced training in several different techniques (see below). This means that I can address your pain problems in many different ways. It also means that even if you have no pain--if you would like an excellent relaxation or stress reduction massage--you are in "good hands."
Neuromuscular Therapy: This very advanced technique seeks to find the cause of your pain and eliminate the cause. Some massage therapists only treat the symptom--your pain--but by using this therapy my goal is to get rid of the cause of your pain. Trigger point therapy is part of this technique.
Trigger Point Therapy: Trigger points are hyper-irritable areas of muscle or other soft tissues (not bones) that cause pain somewhere else in your body. Releasing the trigger point will relieve your pain.
Cranial Sacral Therapy: This very subtle (light) techniques seeks to balance your body in a very gentle way.
Carpal Tunnel Pain Relief: The cause of your Carpal Tunnel Syndrome is usually NOT in your wrist. You do have pain, numbness or swelling in your wrist and hand. My goal is to get rid of the causes of that pain by treating the muscles in your arm, chest, back and neck that are most likely causing your Carpal Tunnel or Thoracic Outlet Syndromes.
Kurashova Russian Massage: This physical medicine technique incorporates a lot of warming friction. It really gets the circulation going in tight, restricted areas of muscle and soft tissue.
Relaxation Massage: This is where almost every massage therapist starts but I didn't stop there. With all of my years of experience and advanced training, I am able to give you one of the best relaxation or stress reduction massages you will ever have.
Deep Tissue Massage: This type of massage works deeply into the muscles to release knots and tight tissues and relieve pain. But, unless your therapist also understands how bodies work, he or she may blast away on a tight area that cannot relax.
